RALEIGH, N.C. -- The Bubel/Aiken Foundation, co-founded by American Idol star and singer Clay Aiken, will award more than $500,000 in grants this year.

The grants will support programs across the U.S. as part of the foundation's Let's ALL Play program, which provides opportunities for children with disabilities to participate in inclusive recreational experiences such as swimming, arts and crafts, community service and physical fitness.

In addition to grant funding, the foundation will provide more than 30 recreational programs with a program model and training.

The Raleigh-based foundation also is partnering with Best Buddies International, The Dancing Wheels Company and School, and LA's BEST After School Enrichment Program in the effort.
