DURHAM, N.C. -- Three North Carolina chapters of the Association of Fundraising Professionals will host their fourth annual statewide education conference Aug. 7 in Durham.
Organized by the Triangle, Triad and Charlotte chapters, the NC Philanthropy Conference will take place at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel.
Laura Fredricks, author, consultant and motivational speaker, will give the keynote address.
Formerly vice president for philanthropy at Pace University in New York, Fredricks is the author of "How to Ask Anyone for Any Amount for Any Purpose" and "Developing Major Gifts: Turning Small Donors into Big Contributors."
Cindy Williams, assistant director of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Eastern North Carolina, is serving as conference chair.
