  • Patricia McBride, associate artistic director and master teacher, N.C. Dance Theatre, received lifetime achievement award from Arts and Science Council of Charlotte-Mecklenburg.

  • Triad Health Project, Greensboro, N.C., named board members: Yolanda Douglas, Karen Garraputa, Kim Goldstein, Martha Lang.

  • Ann B. Goodnight, director of community relations, SAS, received A.E. Finley Distinguished Service Award from Raleigh Chamber of Commerce.

  • Amy S. Garland, marketing and public relations specialist, named executive director, Blessings Project Foundation, Winston-Salem.

  • Janet Freeman, dean emerita of information library services, awarded $1.1M to Meredith College to create special projects endowment fund for college library.

  • Mary Jo and Dick Bell of Atlantic Beach donated 14 works of art by A.B. Jackson to N.C. Central University Art Museum, Durham.
